Hi! My name is Tallulah Mooney and I am a sophomore Graphic Design major at University of Tennessee Knoxville. My favorite part of design school is constantly being challenged to think outside of the box, and grow my skills as a designer in everything I do. I also enjoy being able to work with others, as critiques allow me to learn design not only from my teachers, but from my peers as well. I find that I am most inspired by mid-century typography and 90s fast food advertisments- or any design with vibrant colors!
My earliest design memory is creating an Enderman calendar for my Minecraft club in elementary school. I used a ruler to make a grid, and drew out all sorts of Enderman and “events” in each day of the week.
Mid-century magazines, 90s band posters and albums are the items that inspire my design the most. Along with that, I feel inspired 90s fast food advertisements and packaging, and vintage decorative calendars when designing for personal projects.
